‘Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.’
The church needs the gifts of time, energy and money if it is to flourish and reach out into our communities. We need to raise enough money each year to pay our overheads, maintain the building and be there for you when you need us. All this comes from voluntary giving, we do not receive any external support. At this time when we are not able to hold services the week by week opportunity to give through the collection plate is not happening so we are in greater need of your generousity.
While money is necessary so is the time which people give and there are many opportunities to get involved in the life of the church at St Oswald’s whether by being part of a group, helping maintain the building and churchyard, serving on the PCC helping with children’s work or making music and leading prayer. Our building may be closed but we are still a living worshipping community living life in all its fullness.
God gives us so much can we give something back to him?
