Baptism which is also called Christening, is the first step on a journey of faith which you may wish to take yourself or to start your child on their journey. You make promises about how you will learn more about living the Christian life and we promise to help you in that. So Baptism should take place in the Christian community where you will be helped and supported in the years to come. If you live in the parish or have connections with the church we are happy to talk to you about making arrangements for a Baptism either in the main service at 10am or in a separate service later on a Sunday. If you do not live in the parish we would expect you to speak to your local Vicar and ask their goodwill for the Baptism to happen here because it is your home parish that you will continuing your Christian journey.
